These guidelines help keep Nextask safe, fair, and effective for everyone.
For Homeowners
- Provide accurate descriptions and photos of the work needed so contractors can give you the best quote.
- Include a realistic budget range to attract serious, qualified contractors.
- Your contact details are kept private — only contractors who pay to unlock your job can see them.
- Respond promptly to contractors who reach out to keep the process moving.
- Do not post personal or sensitive information beyond what is needed for the job.
For Contractors
- Keep your profile up to date with accurate services, location, and contact details.
- Only unlock jobs you genuinely intend to pursue — unlocks are non-refundable.
- Represent your qualifications honestly. Misleading profiles may be removed.
- Communicate professionally and respond to homeowners in a timely manner.
- Your listing goes live immediately after payment is confirmed.
Safety & Trust
- Always meet in a safe, public location for initial consultations when possible.
- Verify contractor licences and insurance before work begins — Nextask does not verify credentials.
- Never make full payment upfront. Use a deposit structure and pay upon satisfactory completion.
- If something feels off, trust your instincts and do not proceed.
- Report suspicious listings or profiles using the contact below.
Payments & Billing
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Nextask does not store your card details.
- Job unlock fees are non-refundable once contact details have been revealed.
- Contractor directory listings are billed per the plan selected (10 days, 20 days, or monthly).
- To cancel a recurring subscription, contact us before the next billing date.
Prohibited Content
- Do not post spam, duplicate listings, or fake job requests.
- Harassment, threatening language, or discriminatory content is strictly prohibited.
- Do not share third-party personal information without consent.
- Listings for illegal services or activities will be removed immediately.
- Repeated violations may result in permanent account suspension.
Quality Standards
- Post clear, detailed job descriptions with relevant photos where possible.
- Contractors should include portfolio images to showcase the quality of their work.
- Listings that are vague, incomplete, or misleading may be removed by our team.
- We reserve the right to moderate or remove any content that does not meet platform standards.
